Quinn Martyn passed away unexpectedly, but the legacy he left behind is nothing short of remarkable. From the very beginning, Quinn lived with an innate understanding that life is precious and fleeting. He seized every day with enthusiasm, always eager to learn and embrace new experiences.

Quinn was pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a crane operator, a passion that had inspired him since he was six years old. As part of the Mammoet team, Quinn was well on his way to achieving his goals, and he passed away doing what he loved most: helping others.
This commitment to lending a hand exemplified the core of who he was—a generous and dedicated young man with a heart of gold. Quinn’s loss is deeply felt by his family, who loved him beyond measure.
He leaves behind his devoted parents, Scott and Sarah Martyn, whose pride in their son is unwavering. His grandparents, Doug and Karen Martyn, and his Papa, David Hirtenfeld, were constant sources of love and support in his life.
Quinn’s aunts, uncles, and cousins were more than relatives; they were cherished companions who shared countless memories and moments of joy. Each member of his family holds a special place in their hearts for Quinn, and their gratitude for having had him in their lives is boundless.
Beyond his family, Quinn had a gift for forming connections with people from all walks of life. His quick wit and warm demeanor endeared him to everyone he met, whether they were lifelong friends, colleagues, or chance acquaintances.
Among his closest companions were his “cottage sibs”—Carson, Grandma (Abby), Nash, Matt and Hayley; Abby, Hanna, and Emma—who shared countless adventures with him. His friends, lovingly referred to as “all his boys” and “all his girls,” each held a unique and treasured bond with Quinn.
Quinn’s memory will be honored through a private family funeral at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, with Marilynne Gilchrist officiating, and his final resting place will be at Ripley Cemetery.
