Four San Antonio police officers have reportedly been shot in Stone Oak.
The shooting happened shortly before 9 pm Wednesday.
According to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, four officers were shot responding to a suicide in progress in Stone Oak—the 18700 block of Stone Oak Parkway.
Police say all four officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.
Chief McManus said the first officer that arrived on the scene was shot in the lower extremity, then two more responding officers were shot, and the fourth officer was shot in the torso.
Residents of the apartment complex who could be evacuated safely have been, and those who could not are still in their units. The suspect, a male in his 40s, is not in police custody yet.

What Happened at Stone Oak
A violent confrontation at the Sonterra Heights apartment complex on San Antonio’s Far North Side late Wednesday night resulted in seven police officers being shot and the suspect found dead inside his apartment, authorities confirmed.
The incident began just before 9 p.m. when an officer responded to a report of a potential suicide at the complex located off Stone Oak Parkway near North Loop 1604 East.
The suspect, identified as a male in his 40s, had a criminal record that included three prior arrests—two for assault and one for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
