Deborah Marmann Miller, age 64, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Decatur, Deborah was known for her kind heart, unwavering dedication to her family, and her passion for serving others.

Deborah was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She devoted her life to her family, always putting their needs above her own and offering unconditional love and support. Her gentle spirit and warm smile could light up any room, and she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.

A graduate of Decatur High School, Deborah pursued a career in healthcare, where she spent over three decades as a compassionate nurse. Her commitment to caring for others earned her the respect and admiration of both her colleagues and patients. Outside of her career, she was actively involved in her community, volunteering at local charities and dedicating her time to church activities.

In her spare time, Deborah enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking for her loved ones. She had an incredible talent for creating delicious meals that brought family and friends together around the table. Her love for nature was evident in the beautiful gardens she tended with care and dedication.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert Miller; her children, Emily (David) Harris and Michael (Sarah) Miller; her grandchildren, Lily and Jacob; her siblings, Linda (Mark) Thompson and Richard (Susan) Marmann; and a host of extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Marmann.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff who provided compassionate care during Deborah’s illness. A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church of Decatur on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 12:30 PM.
