For nearly three decades, Joe poured his heart and soul into his work, transforming events with his unique floral designs and bringing beauty into the lives of so many.
Joe’s passion for floral artistry began as a creative pursuit and quickly blossomed into a thriving business that became a cherished part of Chattanooga. Through his dedication, The Clay Pot grew into a well-respected establishment known for its personal touch, attention to detail, and artistic flair.
Whether it was an elegant wedding, a heartfelt celebration, or a simple bouquet to brighten someone’s day, Joe’s creations always carried a special touch that reflected his warmth and passion.
Beyond his incredible talent, Joe was deeply committed to giving back to his community. He loved sharing his knowledge and passion through workshops, events, and his cherished summer program, “Camp Joe Joe’s, a Creative Camp for Kids.” His joy for inspiring young minds and encouraging creativity was evident in everything he did.
Joe’s kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm made him not just a successful business owner, but a true friend to many. His warm spirit and unwavering dedication to his craft earned him the love and respect of his clients, colleagues, and the entire Chattanooga community.
He is survived by his loving family, including his siblings Cal Jumper of Slidell, LA; Mary Jane Hooton of Chattanooga, TN; and Jay Jumper of Lookout Mountain, TN. Joe was also a devoted uncle who cherished time spent with his nieces and nephews, always bringing joy and laughter into their lives.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date to honor his memory and the lasting impact he made. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local arts programs and community initiatives—causes that Joe held close to his heart and supported passionately throughout his life.
